There are several ways to contribute to the Open Case Studies project--please see below for some ideas.
Use the case studies in your course(s)
If you want to use one or more of the case studies in your course(s) as they are, here are some resources to help you do so.
- We have a Teaching Guide with ideas for how one might use these or other case studies in various courses, as well as sample assignments.
- See here for instructions on how to embed a case study into your own website or Learning Management System
- Please let us know if you're using the case studies in a course, as we are trying to keep track of how the case studies are used.
Comment on the case studies
If you work or study at UBC and have a Campus Wide Login, you can create an account on the UBC Wiki and comment on the case studies.
- Each page has a "Discussion" tab at the top left, and you will be able to contribute to the discussion for any UBC Wiki page once you're logged into the wiki
Revise the case studies for use in your courses
If you work or study at UBC and have a Campus Wide Login, you can create an account on the UBC Wiki and edit the case studies. Since these case studies are being actively used in courses and edited by students, we ask that if you are going to make substantial changes, you copy and paste one or more case studies into a new wiki page and revise them from there. It's fine to make small edits to the original case studies, though, such as fixing typos or references, or adding references.

Add new content to the case studies from your disciplinary perspective
Many of our case studies have sections called "layering perspectives," where we invite students or faculty from different disciplines to add their perspectives on the problems or recommendations offered in the case study. You can edit the case studies directly to add these sections, if you work or study at UBC and have a Campus Wide Login.

Create new open case studies
If you would like to create a new case study to be included in the collection and used in your and others' courses, we are always looking for more people to join us! Please indicate your interest in joining the project and writing new case studies here.
